The video is incredible - I love the style of these productions. BUT I am strangely torn... the spectacle is grand, and the ladies of Rio are some of the hottest in the world, including my long time secret crush, Adriana... But I have never understood - WHY are there so many demonic, morbid, dark and depressing floats in the Rio carnival? Mardi Gras in NOLA is a trip, but the one in Rio seems filled with giant demons, satanic images, monsters, and there was even the float with a shark eating some poor bastard in the pool. WHY? Why not just have floats of beauty, whimsy, comedy, glitter, dancing women ( and men, for those so inclined) and leave out the preoccupation with death and dismemberment? Enquiring minds want to know.
