It has been two weeks since I quoted Rev. Martin Niemoller's poem, "First they came for.........", in response to the recent removal of Confederate monuments in Charlottesville, VA. Since that time there have been additional military monuments removed such as, a bust of Christopher Columbus destroyed in Yonkers, NY park, efforts to rebrand military bases named after Confederate Generals, and even a call to remove Charles A. Lindbergh's name from Terminal 1 at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Int. Airport (because of the famous aviator's pro-NAZI stances). Two weeks ago I implored our hobby to speak up before "THEY came for us", but now it appears we did not speak up soon enough.
