We received about 20 inches of snow this week. So ….
8:00 am: I made a snowman.
8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman.
8:15 - So, I made a snow woman.
8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified women everywhere.
8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it should have been two snowmen instead.
8:22 - The transgender man / woman / person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts.
8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and are not to be used to decorate snow figures.
8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white.
8:30 - I used food coloring to make one of the snow couple a different color and be more racially inclusive.
8:37 - Then I was accused of using a black face on the snow person.
8:39 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be completely covered.
8:40 - The police arrived saying someone had been offended.
8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.
8:43 - The 'council on equality' officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.
8:45 - TV news crew from ABC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now a sexist.
9:00 - I was on the news as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe, and sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.
9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services.
9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything, marched down the street demanding that I be arrested.
9:45 - The boss called and fired me because of the negative association with work that had been all over social media.
10:00 - I cry into my drink because all I wanted to do was build a snowman...
Moral: There ain't no moral to this story. We are doomed.

Nice to see Tucker Carlson bringing attention to the biggest protests in modern German history. Eva Vlaardingerbroek left the Netherlands to provide support for the farmers in Germany. WATCH:
What an amazing work of art this is. All in 1850's.
We can't get out of our own way today.
Here ya go.....
Video description from the film creator....
During my visit to Madurodam I saw the attraction "Waterwolf", based on the "Cruquius" steam pumping station. This was one of the 3 pumping stations that pumped the Haarlemmermeer dry from 1849 to 1852. The real Cruquius is still there today and is now a museum. The steam boilers have been removed from the boiler house. This is now an exhibition space. The engine room from 1849 is still present. It contains the world's largest and best-preserved steam engine, the Cornish Engine with a cylinder of 3.66 meters in diameter. This machine drives eight balance arms of 10,000 kg each that protrude like tentacles. Pistons hang on these arms and act as water pumps. Together, they raised 64,000 liters of water with each stroke of the steam engine to the wooden dumping floor around five meters above the engine room, which then entered the ring canal through locks on both sides of the boiler house.
Maybe the forecasters were close on this but, If I slept through the night, it wasn't that bad.
AND NO, before you ask, alcohol wasn't involved.
There are reports of 2-3 inches of rain locally and wind gusts of 35mph overnight.
The 16" of snow from the weekend is seriously diminished and the power is on.
I know areas got hit harder but, for us here, nothing to write about except this post.
Be safe out there...
Shit to do, places to go, people to see, etc.

* It's New England. Usually it snows from December to March. Now every storm is
OMG Eleventy!!!1111!!!.
The storm started last night. It wasn't a blizzard. No high winds or trees down, at least around here.
It was long duration and is slowly winding down as I write this at 8pm EST.
There was some banding when it snowed at a good pace then other times just falling snow.
I was surprised when I measured the tally 16"+ depending on what falls for the next couple of hours.
The snowblower is put away with the shovel and the plow guy just finished his final cleanup.
It 's gonna be in the 30s-40s during the week and 40s-50s on Wednesday with heavy rain.
Now it will be mud season, again.
Within a minute after firing the fatal bullet that struck Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd broadcast a radio report claiming shots were being fired at him in the Speaker’s Lobby and he was “prepared to fire back,” a federal lawsuit alleges.
The previously undisclosed radio dispatch is also contained on an audio recording obtained exclusively by The Epoch Times of the “OPS2” dispatch channel used by Capitol Police on Jan. 6.
According to the lawsuit, Mr. Byrd fired his Glock 22 .40-caliber pistol, striking Ms. Babbitt in the left shoulder, then announced that he was being fired upon and was ready to return fire.

A snowy morning and Covfefe surfing leads to a rabbit hole from one picture.
This one of the 18 wheeler:
According to the comments on f-book this is early 1980's. The truck is from a company named
Transport Chaine Inc. Heavy equipment movers. The tram is the funicular located at
Shawinigan-2 Generating station in Quebec.
The history of the facility is quite amazing when you start searching for information. <<<<
All built in the late 1800's and expanded over the beginning of the 1900's
Here is the google maps image search. From what I gather, the red arrow , I added, points to the landing turntable for the funicular.
As I was scrolling around google earth I noticed this area North of the hydoelectric station
It was once a large paper and pulp mill. Now it's just demolished concrete covered in graffiti.
This image. I found, is from 1946:
You can see the church, just above center on the left of the photo. In the aerial photo above
it's left- center. Here is the church recently <<
