    2. AGREED! I mean how completely unreasonable to issue a citation after warning someone for six months! Has that cop no shame! She explained she didn’t think she should have a citation and the cop should’ve just walked away at that point….and then, when she drove off, he had the nerve to stalk her until she stopped again. All because “the law” says you gotta have shit like brake lights and tres with tread on em. That cop had all the traits of a SS Stormtrooper…

    7. Say whatever you will it still makes ZERO sense to require a signature and when you don't get it to pull a gun throw an older lady to the ground and trump up a felony. This is just stupid. There is no legal requirement for the signature. I suspect that who ever thought that requirement up did so for exactly this reason to create tyranny. The police have no business assaulting citizens for this reason.

    9. You need some education. The citation isn’t a fine it’s an order to appear in court in lieu of arrest and hold. In the old days they could cite you for speeding on a Friday and hold you until appear before magistrate. Some places had magistrate 24/7 some one day time, some only week day. You have the option on every citation to appear and argue your case. Your signature is your formal acknowledgement of the citation and your rights. Not an admittance of guilt. Failure to formally acknowledge most of the time requires the Officer to physically remand for appearance. And it doesn’t matter why you “run”. If you run from a lawful stop, you have committed a felony, if you physically resist, the Officer is not obligated to wrestle, that’s how last injuries occur. His use of taser was the correct use of force option. But you guys go on acting as if this was heavy handed. NOT.

PS. George Floyd was a junkie OD just in case some of you were confused.

    10. SO would she still be required to appear in court if she didn't sign the ticket? YES! If she signed a fake name is she still required to appear in court? YES! So is the signature actually legally necessary? NO! It is a compliance thing. Something to give them an excuse to escalate the situation. SHow me the law that says a ticket must be signed. I have gotten a few tickets and never signed any of them. Why now? It doesn't change the legal requirement that I pay the fine or show up in court. So why require it??? To make the point that YOU are subordinate too them. Nothing more, nothing less.

    2. So you agree to certain things, and they give you a driver’s license for that state. Driving is a privilege, not a right. The idea is we are all on the same page. Safe cars, brakelights that work. You know, using your turn signals? Not passing on the right? Driving on the right side of the road? So we all know what to expect from the rest of the drivers around us? They also want you to sign the ticket, when you get a ticket. It is not an admission of guilt, it just says you agree to appear. That is part of you getting a fucking driver’s license. Where did this “not today” bullshit start?

    3. We should all have safe cars. Do you actually think that these inspections makes all cars safe? No! It was an agreement between auto repair shops and your elected representatives to extort money from citizens and both parties to the agreement benefit at the citizens expense.
As for the signing the ticket, why? Simple question. They will leave a ticket on your windshield and you still are responsible for paying it. If you drive through a camera enforced toll road gate they will send the ticket through the mail. So why the signature requirement? Exactly for this reason; to allow the cop to make sure you know who is the Kulak and who is in charge and that they will use deadly force against you if you don't see any sense in signing the ticket. What if you had to sign the ticket and jump up and down on your left foot for 30 seconds? Is that still OK with you. How about if you forget to say "Sir, yes sir" and they hit you with their stick? Is that OK with you?? Why not just write the frigging ticket and hand it to her and say have a nice day? WHy does it always have to escalate? Why on god's green earth would the cop pull a gun in this situation.

      Delete
    4. Let me explain to you what is going on. Many state patrols are funded through car registrations. That’s one. I do think inspections make cars safer. They may not make them less expensive to operate to their owners. Leave a ticket on the windshield. And then what? Leave another one the windshield next month?? Police do three things: they ask you to do something. Then they tell you to do it. Then they compel you to do it. “Why do things always escalate”? Because the person stopped won’t comply. Look at her.

The cop pulled a gun because she was refusing every one of his directions! Go on you tube. Look. How many utubes show the officer being fired upon? It happens too often.

      Delete
    5. Then just give the ticket. What! Too simple. Let's pull her out and throw her on the ground, pull the gun out because she objected to getting a ticket and had the gall to think that maybe it wasn't really legal for them to compel her to sign anything.
As for your lame complaint implying leaving the ticket doesn't accomplish anything clearly you have never gotten a parking ticket. It actually works because they have your license plate and know who you are and where you live and if you don't pay it in 30 days the cost doubles and it gets worse after that and...AND they didn't need to shoot you with a taser gun!!!
Yes I get it, comply with the cops order, yes she was foolish, yes she never in her 60 some years of life was treated this way and I'm sure it surprised you. BUT all of that is meaningless once the cop crossed that line. Seriously! She was going to have to pay the fine no matter what. She was going to have to pay it if she signed it Micky Mouse. She was going to have to pay it even if she rolled up her window. There was never a good reason to draw the gun or shoot her with the taser. This is bullshit cop over reaction to not being bowed down to. Period!

I guess working EMS and thus have working relationship with Police on a daily basis I see most of MY areas Police quite reasonable and good neighbor types. It helps that we've had town meetings to "DISCUSS" less than stellar Police situations and more than a few over the years have MOVED ONWARD to other employment.

We have trailer trash that scream all the time about how "Unfair the Police are" and we know from experience that THEY are the problem more often than not. I was pulled over just last week and had a nice encounter with a new policewoman. A few polite behaviors keep the police off the "THREAT Response".

Plus, $80 ticket for inspection tag? The state inspection is a fucking joke, it's a tax burden placed on us like every other fee, license, toll, or tag. The govt taxes my income, my property, taxes me whenever I buy something, and even when I don't. Then I get to pay for the privilege of just existing. 20. This is just wrong and it does not make the police look good. There is no legitimate reason for the ticket to be signed, period. The ticket can be enforced with or without the signature. There should be an option where the police can simply indicate that the person receiving the ticket refused to sign without resorting to pulling a gun or throwing them on the ground. The cop should not be placed in a position where he must abuse innocent good citizens over some bullshit technicality. This woman had never encountered tyranny and power trip before and was unready for what the police are capable of. I am reminded of the surfer in California being forced to come ashore and being physically assaulted by 7 cops and arrested for violating the bullshit covid rules. THIS kind of shit is not a good look for cops and they should not be required to abuse citizens and they themselves should refuse to do so.

  21. Watched the video twice and still don't know what was broken and how he knew it had been broken for six months. Registration, maybe?

Lots of wrong doing on both their parts. The cop, being the supposed professional in the encounter, could have done two things to de-escalate the situation and avoid the ugly outcome. The first has always been done with every ticket I've ever received: 1. Advise the woman that signing the ticket is only an agreement to appear in court or to pay the ticket; refusal to sign will result in her being arrested. 2. Allowed her to sign when she finally relented. Yes, she was wrong in her initial refusal to sign, but he didn't have to be the ultimate dick.

So much for protect and serve.

  25. Someone has stated that this was about her not having a current vehicle inspection. We all know the inspection is a bullshit deal that gives the government your money and gives the auto repair shops an excuse to charge you hundreds of dollars for things you don't actually need. Knowing this and knowing the cop knows this and then having the cop give you a ticket for not bowing down and kissing the ground that the government stands on pisses you off. Yes she chose the wrong way to disagree but that in effect was all she was doing. No one with a gun should be giving little old ladies these bullshit tickets because as this cop proved beyond a doubt you cannot trust a government employee with a fricking gun. Just for pulling that gun this cop should be fired.

    1. Per the OK DMV web site: Currently, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) doesn't require inspections of any type for vehicle registration or registration renewal. This includes smog tests as well as safety and vehicle inspections.

So, she either didn't pay for her registration renewal or was so damn lazy she didn't put the new date sticker on the plate. That's how the cop knew she had been pulling this shit for 6 months just getting warnings.

  26. I am second to no-one in calling out douchebadges wherever found.

    This was none of that.

Granny Dumbshit did the crime, then didn't want to do the time.
That officer was no such "Respect Mah Authoritah" jerk, he was the soul of reasonableness, and only escalated his uses of force when she escalated a minor traffic infraction into criminal conduct, then multiple felonies and violent misdemeanors, including endangering herself, the officer, and everyone on the road between her first stop, and her last stop. You don't get a pass for resisting arrest, get a do-over, and walk away with a ticket you could have signed in the first place. Suggesting the officer overlook that is simply idiotic. Then she went from misdemeanor resisting arrest, to felony evading, reckless driving, and battery on a police officer.

I hope the D.A. and judge maxxes her out on all of the above, concurrently or consecutively.
    Per OK statutes:
Resisting arrest (up to a year)
    Felony evading (1-5 years)
Reckless driving (5 to 90 days)
Battery on a peace officer (1-5 years)

She screwed herself, all on her own accord. Fuck her and anyone who thinks she got a raw deal. They're as bad as the Diversity spewing bullshit whenever another Dindu Nuffin gets popped in the hood for being a criminal jackass too.

She got exactly what she had coming in this case, at every step, and she's going to have several months of alone time at some point to consider the error of her ways, and with any luck from a judge and jury brighter than most of the anonymous commenters here, a shiny new felony jacket to wear for the rest of her life.

Bravo, fuckwit. You had it coming, but we applaud your comedic instincts and flawless public jackassery, all captured on bodycam for the rest of us to enjoy in perpetuity. Best laugh I've had all day.

That $80 fix-it ticket is going to turn into a lifetime criminal record, probably time in the Big House, and thousands in legal fees and fines, just to lose the case in about 5 minutes. (Only a defense of profound mental retardation is liable to gain any traction, and if the court is extremely lenient, she'll get to plead down to just misdemeanors. She doesn't deserve that much consideration, and ought to do every single day of a year in prison, at barest minimum.)

This is the best argument for bringing back public stocks and pillories I've seen in some time.
And now, Granny Dumbshit may never have to worry about voting or legally owning a firearm ever again, and for some goodly number of years, she can forget about driving too. Odds are by the time they'll let her get another license after this one is revoked, she'll be too old to pass the exam anyways.
Life-changing stupidity, all for an 80-buck ticket. Genius!

    Well-played!

    1. It is clear to me that this older lady has never encountered police bullshit before and was simply unaware that they will shoot you or tase if you do not bow to their authority. She has been sufficiently slapped down and will be a respectful slave to the state and the authority they demand over you from now on. I hope she votes against all tax increases and incumbents and actively works to reduce the size and scope of government. She is awake now unless she likes living on her knees.

    2. She may be a senior citizen, but that woman-child suffered the consequences of one of her tantrums for the first time when she got yanked out of the truck and tazed. "I don't wanna pay $80 for something I can fix" doesn't fly when it has been 6 months and she has probably had a bunch of warnings but has NOT fixed the issue, and thinking the cop wouldn't yank her out when she stopped after driving away was next-level stupid.

      Delete
    3. I have to agree with the above. The cop had no need to train his weapon on her; she never threatened him; only his ego. He had no need to throw her to the ground, but he could, and he did. Again, she didn't threaten him, but he tassed her because he could. A signature is not required, and not signing is not grounds for arrest. Should she not appear in court, she could be found guilty in absentia and the notice of fine sent to her via certified mail.

But Nooooo: When she disobeyed him and failed to Respect His Authority, HE choose to escalate the situation. He brutalized her beyond need. She bruised his delicate little ego, and he made her COMPLY. None of the common-sense, community policing tactics about which we hear so much were practiced; only the brute force of The State which demands that every knee shall bend.

    4. You honestly think that this lady should have her life completely f*d over this? What kind of heartless a-hole are you? The system sucks. The cop could have just given a warning. She isn't a menace to society that needs to be kept off the streets. Did she harm anyone? The gubment didn't get her money soon enough so she needs to suffer? Put this in perspective, cops have the ability to completely ruin someone's life with little to no consequence but tell me how they should throw the book at her. That will totally make her little town way safer.

  27. Epilogue:
She wisely played a different tune in court than she had at the side of the road.
She ended up pleading guilty to four misdemeanors, having charges deferred for 4 years (i.e. probation), and paying a $50 fine for each of four counts, in exchange for which they dropped the felony counts of evading and battery.
And she still owed the $80 for the ticket.

So she got to keep her life, more or less intact.
The court was extremely lenient. This time.

If this had been a 30-year old of either sex, they'd have maxxed the hell out of them.

    3. Look up "felony stop". Watch one or three on YouTube.
They usually have lots of guns pointed at them, not just one. Generally shotguns and ARs.
Once he's in pursuit of a felon, he's probably required by policy to do so when he's trying to confront an already-felon, all by his lonesome.

Cops use non-lethal devices like tasers, because in this case, he didn't want to get kicked or punched, nor kick and punch granny, which going hands-on would have entailed. Nor break a wrist or arm jerking her fat ass out of the vehicle. Don't want your ass tased? Comply with the arresting officer's orders. Easy-peasey.

And if she'd reached around behind her for anything, she would have been fortunate not to get a new 9mm bellybutton or three, a shoot which would have been both within department policy, and consistent with common sense.

Don't believe me; do a deep dive and go watch ten or twenty officer-involved shootings over at Donut Operator's YouTube channel. As a former cop, he dishes on them hard, when they do stupid crap. He also highlights when Dindus or their next of kin are lying crapsacks, and he goes to the video to show how fast a hand becomes a hand with a gun.

Usually right before a mag dump, and achieving room temperature.

This officer got everything right, and Granny Fatass did everything wrong, and at the end of the day, nobody got hurt.
But the felon in the video got butthurt.
      Boo frickin' hoo.

That's how Cops & Robbers is supposed to work.

Don't want to get yelled at and tased?
      Don't commit felonies.

  31. I don't disagree with a lot of what Aesop said, but there are two facts here that he simply doesn't address:
    1. The police can be tyrants. literally millions of youtube videos to prove it. And in this case the very fact that the cop pulled his gun should disqualify him from being a policeman.
    2. This lady probably never encountered tyrants before. She probably lived a quiet life where she actually though being right and being law abiding counted for something and that it was "real" criminals who were abused by the police and they deserved it (taht seems to be Aesop's position). She has no learned that they will taze you or even kill you over nothing, literally nothing and that if at all possible they will make a situation far worse than it needs to be just to justify that. She came within a "twitch" of being shot and why? Because she didn't want to be forced to sign something. Does the 5th amendment say you have rights except that you must sing whatever they put in front of you??? I am just not sure that the whole "signing thing" is constitutional. I know it's generally accepted by all the people willing to bow down but is it "required" for some definable legal reason and is it constitutional? I know a man with no arms does he go to jail for a traffic stop???

    1. Show us on the doll where the cop abused her.
He didn't pull his gun for the ticket.
He did it after felony evading, and a police chase with red lights and siren, because she fled the scene of the arrest in a 3000 pound vehicle, with the solo officer having no idea what was in the driver's possession in the way of weaponry, or how bat-shit crazy she was going to get.
Look up "Felony Stop" for us, and get back to us on what that entails.

She followed that up by continuing to resist arrest, and then compounding it with felony battery on a police officer. (The statutes on that in Oklahoma run from 1 year to LWOP. You could look it up. Granny got off incredibly lightly.) Only after her second felony did she get tased into compliance, and even that took twice before she stopped talking shit and resisting, and the officer still had to employ some serious manhandling and pain compliance on Shamu to get her cuffed.

She's frankly damned lucky he took the time to tase her stupid ass instead of just cuffing her after a gunshot after her bullshit.

The minute she was in cuffs, and stopped acting like a five-star jackass, he proceeded to call an ambulance to ensure the safety of an arrested multiple felon, and she was still acting like it was just fun-and-games, rather than enough to get her 10 years in in the OK prison system.

The only abuse here was hers, of the legal system.

A fair outcome would have been more than a couple of taser darts, and would have included a few months in jail to think over her jackassery at leisure, and a month or two on food stamps after taking her Social Security checks and seizing the vehicle to pay her fines.

She was mollycoddled, and she got out of this for a couple of hundred bucks (plus lawyer fees).
She could have ended it before it started by signing the notice to appear, paying the ticket, getting the vehicle properly tagged, and going home, little the worse for wear.

Everything that happened to her in that video was entirely her fault, and she got off far too leniently, compared to what she did, and deserved.

The rest is knee-jerk ACAB crap, no different than what we hear from the BLM jackholes.
When BLM is in your corner, check your hole card again, and rethink your bet.

    2. (cont.)
      1. I'm not addressing that the police can be tyrants, because that has nothing to do with anything that happened in this incident. I've done it dozens of times already, when it was justified. This ain't that.

      2. This fat whale wasn't "right", which is why she got pulled over initially.
She probably spent her whole life with her head up her ass. That's her problem.
Once her mouth ran off without her brains, she became the State Of Oklahoma's problem, and a fleeing felon.
That's pretty serious shit to be pulling at age 66. Amateurs should stay out of such nonsense.

She was abused at no point in this interaction, and being a resisting felonious jackhole, deserved everything she got in this video, and more. That's my position.
Not "real" criminals deserve to be abused. Put words in your own mouth, not mine.
Felony stupid should hurt. In this case it did, to the tune of 50,000 volts of "Do I have your attention now, shithead?". Dulce et decorum est.

The minute she went to resisting arrest for a justified arrest for failure to sign her ticket (that's the law in OK, and most states) signifying she agreed to pay the fine or appear in court to contest it (the only proper venue for protesting a false or erroneous charge) she went from petty infraction to misdemeanor fuckup. Then she took off, and graduated to felony fuckup. Then endangered every other car on the road, and the officer, and herself, by fleeing an arrest while being chased by a uniformed officer in a marked unit. (That's traditionally spike strips and shotguns, and a buffet luncheon of asphalt at minimum, by way of how do you do, for 90% of such idiots.) Then she picked up the resisting arrest again, right where she left off the first time she was stopped, and then decided to go whole hog and add felony battery of a police officer to her rap sheet.

It's well established Constitutional Law that when you are detained, and being ticketed, you may be required to have to sign the ticket, which constitutes a legally binding promise to appear. It's the price for getting released on your own recognizance after an infraction stop. She refused to do that, and the officer quite properly told her she was under arrest. Anything you do after that phrase is uttered that doesn't constitute willing compliance is breaking the law, in 50 states, seven U.S. territories, and most of the inhabited earth.
IANAL, but anyone so wholly ignorant of basic vehicle codes, criminal law, and constitutional law, probably shouldn't presume to question it or lecture on it.

You should probably bone up on the basics you should have learned before you got your first license:

The man with no arms: only if he gets a ticket, and refuses to sign it. He can always sign with his feet, or use his mouth, or however else he signs his legal signature.
What he can't do is refuse to sign a ticket in OK, and in most other states.
No one cares how he does it, only that he does it.
The bigger question there is what dipshit granted a driver's license to a man with no arms, but that's something for another time and place.

    3. Anony, did you miss the part where it's a notice to appear, not an admission of guilt? She had a stupid tantrum, felony fleeing. Followed by a "resisting arrest" gravity storm. She was resisting enough that he would have had to wrench or break something without the electric assist. She got off light. Hope the attorney cost enough to jog her memory later.

    4. Did you miss the part where I acknowledged that. My point is simply it is an unnecessary requirement that is required and enforced at that exact moment when you have just been screwed over by the cop who now tells you to sign. Let's imagine for some reason that there was no signature given, doesn't matter why, it could ba simply an oversight by the cop but the point is that there was no signature. Do you in your wildest dreams thing that means the motorist "won" and they don't have to go to court??? Do you grasshopper??? NO! You still have to go to court because the signature is meaningless. More meaningless than your stupid comment was. The signature means nothing legally for the motorist, the cop or the court. It is a requirement ONLY because some bureaucrat wrote it into the policy. AND I can guarant-ass-te you that it was done for exactly this reason, i.e. to give the cop one last bite at the domination apple!!! PROVE ME WRONG!!!

  35. Another common escalation trick that the police use is to trespass someone. Often this "trespass" is illegal but it makes no difference because it allows the police to abuse you and throw you to the ground tase you into submission break bones as they twist your arms all the while shouting quit resisting as they torture you. This is not an easy thing. I bet you couldn't do it. What I mean is take some poor guy at a school board meeting whose daughter was raped and the school board hid it because the rapist was a trans and exposing it might affect their trans policy so the dad speaking out in public is a threat so you decide, illegally, to trespass him and the four cops go over and beat him up and try to cause permanent physical damage to him... do you think YOU could do this? Maybe if you are a Nazi bastard but imagine for a moment you are an honest upstanding person who has sworn to protect the public... could you do this??? I couldn't. I would be tempted to point out that even a school board member cannot legally decide who can or cannot attend a meeting and since it is public property the public cannot be trespassed from it at a whim. They must actually break a law to be arrested. But they know this and that is why they shout "quit resisting" because then you will be charged with resisting arrest. AND good honest people will sit as your jury and unwittingly agree to punish you for the harm you illegal received at the hands of the police. And the DA will lie in court, because that is his job as a paid liar to lie in court. And you will be punished for trumped upcharges that the police intentionally created as they beat you into submission.

  36. Typical LEO with a superiority complex ordering an old lady to get out of the truck so she could be arrested for not signing a ticket. At one point, he had his weapon aimed at her and was prepared to enforce the death sentence on someone over an expired tag (or whatever it was).

Cashion is a very small town and I would probably count on a sympathetic jury in a trial. The cop escalated way beyond what was necessary.
