  1. I found out that my small town's home coming queen for last year was also the kicker on their football team.I actually believe it. I didn't judge them or her for it. I just didn't think that any female could take the abuse that we endured during the two week two a days practices that we used to have prior to the beginning of the season.
I say, it is just a matter of time before a female makes it into the NFL. The thing is, I don't care anymore. I am pretty much done with sports of any kind now. Except for the occasional professional women's tennis match, just because they still allow them to wear tight skirts and tops. I know, I am a male pig, and admit it.
When I was in high school, we only had like 18 or so on the team, so in practice we could not run a full scrimmage in practice, but only ran from guard on one side, to the total other side. Then the rest of the team would set up the other teams defense for that week and we would go against what we were going to see. Then, after we ran perhaps a half hour, we would switch, and go from the other guard, and over to the other side, and run all of the plays we used that way, against that side of the other teams defense. We did bring up one younger man from the JV squad, but the truth was, there was nobody on their team who was ready to play at the next level yet, and to bring someone up like that was dangerous to that kid. So we didn't, and just made do.
The only time I was not on the field was if we were kicking off. The rest of the time, I was out there. Actually, it was like that for 4 years, pretty much. I loved it, but I did get tired by the end of the season.

  2. Ah yes, the world loves a pretty winner!
