Which obviously shuts down production on that machine until the alarm can be fixed.
After a few phone calls it appears to be a cooling fan on the X and Y axis inverter.
Now mind you it just can't be the one that snaps in on top, it has
to be the one that you have to take apart a bunch of crap to get to.
So I take it apart and clean it then bolt everything back in....cross fingers....
fire it up .. and nothing. / sad face.
Now get on the phone with Fanuc and order a new one to be shipped red label
for tomorrow a.m.
I have a 100k dollar machine waiting for a 35 dollar fan.......
Oh well the store at the end of the street sells cold beer !
BEHIND THIS MESS IS A DEAD FAN |
HERE IS THE CULPRIT!! |
THE MACHINE IS DOWN BECAUSE OF THIS........ Things could be worse, I could be married to a wookie........... |
looking quickly at that first picture, I could have sworn that it said 'panic' in red letters.
ReplyDeleteSigh! I hear ya! Been there, done that!
