That is called a Mouse Fart load. It is a good range load for practicing shooting/sighting technique. It is also cheaper to produce as the powder load is less. I load up 38 brass that way for my 357. My nickel 38 cases get a 38spl+p round. All 357 cases are wad cutters or JHP at the upper end of the load specs.

DeleteSome camera mics, such as the ones I use, have audio limiters so the shots sounds are always reduced volume. Saves camera repairs.
