    2. Even if it's a honkin' big knife. Boolits can do more damage, especially from a distance!

  4. Watched this scenario play out while waiting at a train crossing in Houston, 1981. Shirtless Joe, high AF, jumped out of his car with a tire iron and menaced the driver in front of him, who calmly produced a big shiny revolver. Joe drops the tire iron, backs up to his car and gets in - never even retrieved his tire iron!

  7. I presume guy with the gun is black by the high, sideways hold.

  9. I presume the high sideways hold was held by someone more professional than the machete menace. Evidenced by the polite explanation of how Machete is not yet perforated, but can be. An armed society is a polite society when there are repercussions to moral ignorance and bad choices.

  10. I always carry a machete with me in my pickup on the off chance I have a problem with a fellow motorist. Don't you?

    1. Sure do, along with an East German entrenching tool (fixed, not folding), a double bit ax, a Pulaski (sometimes mistakenly called a Mattock) and a high lift jack (with a buncha other useful shit) in a cross bed tool box.

  11. That’s about as close to a good shoot as you can get. Though aggressive looking, the high sideways hold doesn’t produce hits as we well know. If machete guy was deadly serious, the encounter could have went either way.
