I just had my annual coffee and donut at Krispy Kream. I forgot how bad their coffee is.
Today is also my birthday. Going out to dinner is usually a royal pain as there are waiting lines everywhere. I will probably order a pizza and stay in.
Thanks Irish. I'm more than half way through my morning blog slog and you're the first to acknowledge it. I'm sure W/C will have something up also. Haven't gotten there yet.
In July of this year , Red State website did a story about a veteran on his 100th birthday. It linked to a Twitter post with a video of the man breaking down in tears saying " this is not what we fought for ", describing how the country was in such decline. Twitter has since suspended the account and removed the video. Never forget our heroes. God bless all you veterans.
USMC 90-96, I was a nerd marine - electronics tech. Closest I got to combat was sitting on a BGB (big grey boat) doing gator squares off the coast of Bosnia for a couple months.
Please remember John Crane and Mike Topolinski of Flint, Michigan. Young gentlemen gave all in Nam. To all Veterans, especially Nam Vets, a hearty “Welcome Home”. Something we never heard but were to proud to ask for. 1st ANGLICO class of 71’
