I drove 186 miles for a stuffed bunny once. Little brains think so much differently, it really is hard to remember that they aren't short adults and these things really do matter. There's plenty of time for him to grow up, toughen up, and realize life is full of loss; but now is not the time.
She's a good Mom. How many treasures have been lost during childhood never to be found again? Memories are nice but they can't be held and hugged....
