He'd make a good farmer. However, we don't need farmers anymore: they kill the planet trying to feed eight billion people. Bad farmers, let's get rid of them. Those eight billion people can continue to go to the grocery stores because that's where real healthy food comes from, right?
I didn't believe in reincarnation until a visit to a farm with our daughter and family. A long abandoned implement was completely covered in blackberries. "What is that?" Young grandson rattled off something only his parents understood. The farmer said "No, that's a disc harrow." His dad told the farmer, "That's what he said." Eyes popped and jaws dropped. How the heck does someone that young know what a disc harrow is??? A few months later he looked out the window of our car and said "That's a front-end loader with a backhoe." He was under three, raised in the city. So yes, I now believe in reincarnation.
Fun stuff. Another example of why I’m a huge fan of young people, how can you not be. Fear not, our future is in good hands. The road to the other side won’t be easy but we will prevail thanks be to God.
My dad had a classmate in grade school who wasn’t interested in school, only in toy trucks, and real trucks. When that kid grew up, he started a trucking company, which is what he’d always told people he wanted to do. Talk about laser-focussed on one’s goals.
There's a guy in our area (timber country) who was fascinated by log trucks as a child and now he owns a huge fleet of them. Biggest log truck operator in several counties.
If John Deere doesn't, on the spot, find and sign that kid to a contract to do their next ten primary TV commercials as their main spokeskid, and run them around the clock wall-to-wall in every JD market, they're run by total idiots.
If they can do them with him being interviewed by Mike Rowe, they're jet fuel geniuses.
Raised right. Bet he spends a lot of time with his dad and grandpa. There is still hope for this country.
ReplyDeleteThat lad will do just fine in the world.

It's amazing the positive things your mind absorbs when you're not trying come up with rap lyrics and pointless memes as a social media influencer.
ReplyDeleteJust don't see youngsters like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you see yourself in 20 years?

Delete12. He's just conflicted about that mortality thingy. You know: Time and how it seems to work..
ReplyDeleteThat young man is being raised right.

Right after the farm show, he sat down and started whittling a stick he found.
