The wife of U.S. Rep. John Tierney — convicted last year of helping her fugitive brother file false tax returns — will claim her right to refuse to reveal conversations with her spouse if federal prosecutors press to learn how much her congressman husband knew about her family’s alleged offshore gambling empire when she takes the witness stand in her brother’s trial Monday, her attorney warned yesterday.
