Yes it/we are bygone, but it is good to remember. Sadly, kids today and future generations will be lucky if they hear the distinct whine of a Chrysler/Dodge starter and the throaty roar of the mighty engines .
Thanks for the memory. One of my all time favorite tunes. There was a great Youtube video that I downloaded many years ago that had beautiful girls next to a ton of classic cars. I'm glad that I saved it because that particular video is no longer available. I wish that I could share it on here, but I don't think that I could attach an mp4. Even if it's possible I would have no idea how to do it.
Best bud had a 69 Charger in the late 70s and we had a ton of fun in it double dating. If the Charger’s rocking, don’t come knocking! God rest his soul and I hope to see him again. ET in Dixie.
In 1978 I was gifted a 70 Dodge Charger R/T440, by my Grandparents . Boy was I a stupid young adult, that car would run and still have gas pedal. And a fantastic tune by Blackfoot, one among many of theirs. Also what a time for Southern Rock in Alabama.
Beautiful cars. Sad to say they are relics of a bygone era, like me.
