The Goog Just Got Real Wonky......

I've done this 1000s of times.  Using Firefox, I log into the blog to put up a post.

A little while ago, I loaded TFI, and hit sign in, then got this message.

So, I cleared my history and cache and allowed cookies. Nothing.
Then I disabled all the tracking blockers. Nothing.

I opened up a Firefox "Private Window' and was able to get to the post editor but none of the icons
would show up.

So now I'm posting this from Goog.

Not sure what happened in the past hour or so?

Anyone else having wonky internets?

  1. Did your AV update today? If you're not sure , turn it off and reboot and see if that changes anything. Could just be blogger going through menopause.

  12. Censorship algorithms targeting non-narrative/conservative platforms, universally.
    A feature, not a bug.

  13. Phones and the internet (my ISP's signal works directly from satellites and have been extremely slow here in north Alabama the last few days.

  14. I had this viscously dark revelation that we are all controlled by the internet and phone and they have the power to shut it down, slow it down or wherever they want . It’s simple. The reality is alternative stuff. You know what it is,look up NVIS.

  16. I'd start expecting "weird stuff", "tech anomalies", "slow connections", etc. from here on out if I were y'all. It's about time to do your best to reduce that digital footprint to as small as possible- if it's possible.

Woe to those that use GPS to go anywhere like they're a fucking goldfish.

  18. I'm running Firefox on Windows 11. Moved to Win 11 from Win 7 earlier this year. Am not currently having any browser problems.

The suggestion to do a DNS flush is a good one. Other than that you've tried all the usual tricks. Adding Google as an allowed site is also worth a try.

Have run Firefox for literally decades. Occasionally it has gone through rough patches, but the Mozilla team has always gotten it back on track. I've tried pretty much every browser on the market and always come back to Firefox.

  21. I don't think Google and Firefox like each other sometimes, but Happy Big Boob Friday to those that celebrate, today is the start of the 2024 BBF championship, stop by thehostages.wordpress.com and vote for your favorite model every week.

  23. Google and Firefox are waging war. I had similar issues at the beginning of the year, and something changed again about a week ago. In the FF url bar, click on the shield at the extreme left. Then turn off "enhanced tracking protection for this site." You may have to do that for all of the Google sites.

Fire fox will still do a fair job of preventing them from tracking you outside of their ecosystem. Also use FF containers for other stuff - which blocks their tracking completely

I still get the occasional message. Refreshing once or twice usually does the trick. And the headaches are worth it to not use Chrome and have Google track everything you do

  24. Aside from Ad blockers, Google has decided it really doesn't like VPNs. Sometimes to comment - even on my own blog - I have to suspend the VPN

  25. Firefox got rid of its creator because he is conservative. He then built BRAVE. Seriously, there is no comparison use BRAVE, it is the best browser out there bar none.

  26. Have been a FoxFire user for about 20 years.
But these constant updates are bothering my IT SEC senses.
So I have been playing possible subs, but FF does have a lot of neat security tools and features other browsers don't.
