  1. Hope I look as good as he does when I'm 78!

  2. My favorite guitarist. Man, I hate to say it, but Gilmour has lost a step. The notes aren't as crisp. His voice is fading. Damn march of time gets us all.
Reminds me of that song Guitar man by Bread.

    1. Eh, rehearsal, this is why you practice.

  3. So many greats are in their 70s, 80, or are already gone. But, time marches on, best we can do is remember the legends while they are here. And keep their music alive.

  4. He needs a hot toddy. Tea whiskey lemon honey. I would substitute brandy for whiskey

  5. They don't make music like this today - now it's just sampling, auto-tune and so on - no originality, no creativity, no soul, just some crap to be sold to generations of increasingly apathetic people, focused only on their mobile phones and tv shows. Oscar Wild put it best: "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist."

  7. I wouldn't go to a Roger Waters concert if it was free.

  8. Indeed, nor would I. Love his music, hate his ideologies and politics. Such a shame that so many gifted artists are so incredibly liberal. My wife and son lambaste me for my attitude. There are movies and shows I refuse to watch also because I do not agree with actors viewpoints. One must make a stand at times to be considered serious no matter how ridiculous one sounds. Surely, I can not be the only one.

  9. Listening to the band since "Piper At The Gates of Dawn"; Gilmour since "Saucerful of Secrets" (one of my favorites). haven't tired of him yet and don't expect to. Miss Richard Wright though.

  10. But that's the thing isn't it - Gilmour at 78 is better than most in their prime, and I'd still go and see him. I'm old enough to recall when he was in his prime: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uSeFVGfn9M
