ReplyDeleteAnyone have a suggestion for one that has a pouch that would facilitate conceal carry yet be easy and quick to access (no zippers or snaps, etc)?

ReplyDeleteMost of the choices are too effeminate or they require carrying them in your hand. The backpack is the most logical and most common, i.e. you don't look as odd. Black or gray ish. small ish and somewhat shapeless. The only thjing on the outside would be a water bottle, kind of reaffirms it is just some junk in a backpack and not weapons or break in tools. If you carry a backpack like this in the city make sure there is nothing in it of real value and nothing that is illegal and suspicious because it will be looked into at various venues.
ReplyDeleteAmmunition Depot has a sale on Rattlesnake Tactical sling bags with pistol retention for just under $20.00 I purchased three. I also have a couple Palmetto State Armory sling bags which are heavier duty but a little over twice the cost.

ReplyDeleteI usually use a ALICE buttpack with a sling taken off a two qt.canteen pouch carried over the shoulder will ride on eith Side you prefer. I also will sometimes you a Condor edc sling style bag ( messenger) . Damn thing is bomb-proof, my dad got it for me when I got to middle school for a book bag, it became a game bag for birds, possibles bag, fishing, damn near everything.
It's faded and there's nothing else I own like it, still hugs my body.
Lots of good suggestions, for sure. Here's mine: Check Duluth Pack for one of their "possibles" bags. Kind of like a messenger bag, but better canvas quality. Mine is going on fifty years and still does the job.
