It looks like it's at a car show on a residential street.
There was no body to the email but I think he wants to test and see how
badly I have been corrupted by the interwebs.....
Can anyone identify the make of the car?
By the way Ron, I'm totally corrupted by the webz to answer your implied question.
Looks like a Mazda 7-8…..definetly a wankle rotary
ReplyDeletePretty sure Jay Leno just did a segment on that car. It’s called the Howmet TX
ReplyDeleteI can identify the engine. It's an Allison/Rolls-Royce 250 from a helicopter and makes about 300hp and a lot of noise.

ReplyDeleteThat gif..... That guy freaks me out. Not sure what it is, but the sum total is NOPE! That 007 movie purt-near made me hurl.
ReplyDeletePretty sure the flick was No Country For Old Men, not a 007, but i could be wrong
DeleteYes, No Country for Old Men, and yes, he was a stone-cold, creepy-AF sociopath. An unforgettable movie, still gives nightmares.
DeleteHe was also the bad guy in the Bond Film "Skyfall". Javier Bardem. The character in "No Country For Old Men' was Anton Chigurth. They should cast Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurth as Batman. That would be a movie!
DeleteWas also in a Bond movie
DeleteHowmet Turbine, saw it race at Daytona in 1968.
ReplyDeleteI saw it race there, too. It was run in an experimental class, and while everyone assumed it was a turbine, Howmet did not disclose that at the time, as far as I know. I have been wondering since the '68 24 Hours of Daytona just what the engine was.
DeleteYep. Howmet TX gas turbine engine prototype.
ReplyDeleteHowmet turbine powered race car designed and built by Bob McKee in 1968
