I always think of Arthur Feidler conducting the Boston Pops at the Shell, complete with local church bells (they're EVERYWHERE!) and the Natl Guard cannons! A bucket list item, for One Last Time before I die. (No, not Arthur Feidler) President Elect B Woodman
If I had to choose just one Rush song, it'd be 2112. Green Manalishi from Judas Priest. For Deep Purple, Made in Japan is the album to use, not Machine Head. Try Highway Star. Aerials, by System of a Down Let it Ride, by BTO Icarus - Borne on Wings of Steel, by Kansas Khatmandu - Bob Seger Smokin' - Boston Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen The Only One I Know - Charlatans UK Elo Kiddies - Cheap Trick I'd Love to Change the World - Ten Years After; yeah, it's a lefty tune, but love the guitar work Travelin' Band - Creedence Holy Diver - Dio Frankenstein - Edgar Winter Heavy in Your Arms - Florence + the Machine I Just Want to Make Love to You - Foghat Walk - The Foo Fighters Welcome to the Jungle - Guns'n'Roses Flirtin' With Disaster - Molly Hatchet Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz Driving Death Valley Blues - Mark Lanegan Don't Tread on Me - Metallica Mississippi Queen - Mountain Uprising - Muse Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana Rooster - Alice in Chains Du Hast - Rammstein Go All the Way - Raspberries Fantasy - Aldo Nova The Zoo - Scorpions Don't Misunderstand Me - Rossington - Collins Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots Lady - Styx Easy Livin' - Uriah Heep
And you still have hearing because at the volume I used in my utes after those I would not. Great set, a concert of those would have been the bomb diggity.
Eh, speak up now! Well, my hearing isn't yet terrible, but it's degraded. Probably, the worst thing I did for it was a brief stint as the vocalist for a cover band. Spending time about 6 feet away from a Marshall stack wasn't exactly beneficial. For the left ear, years of driving with the window at least cracked a bit did the rest.
As an old fart, trying to stave off further degradation, I've become rather pissy about LOUD. But I have to admit, if I lived in a house, rather than an apartment, the subwoofer would get hooked up again, and I'd enjoy concert volume a bit. Hell, it'd at least drown out the tinnitus. - Mr. Mayo

"Jimi playing the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock" By far the best version of the National Anthem. Even Jimi himself couldn't repeat this version. With about the same size speaker wall if I recall Woodstock's setup.
Great selections, all. I'm old as dirt as I suspect most here are, so yall need to check out Band Maid for NEW music. Just discovered months ago, unbelievable on all levels. Just start anywhere tons of vids on YT. Their live ones are even better than the produced MV's. Try From now On; Domination; Play or Freedom for a taste.
I know it's late in day, but one more for your consideration would be 'Oh Fortuna' from Carmina Burana. (It can also be heard in the soundtrack for Excalibur) -lg
Obviously there're too many youngsters here, as nobody's mentioned "Time Has Come Today" by the Chambers Bros. Same album has a great version of "People Get Ready" that gets me singin' along. YMMV
Disconnect the speakers and get out your acoustic instruments and play anything. When did it get to be a hearing-destroying contest listening to music?
