Strewth, the two trucks that went over the edge in the second video was pretty bad. The driver of the towing truck got out, but what about the bloke behind, that took both vehicles down? If he was still inside the cabin, it would have been a hairy ride, if he survived!
The top video is a fine example of someone who no longer gives a f*ck. As a former employer, I've found its better they flounce in a huff than stay on the job pissed.
There was a rental house in the old neighborhood-we always called it the Bad Luck House, as the owner/landlord was a typical slumlord and had a knack for renting to down and out folks. A kind of rough looking guy and his woman were the new tenants one year. At least he had a job-he would come home at all hours in his tow truck, go inside, and you'd never see him-guessed he was sleeping the whole time he had a few hours off. Didn't see his truck for a couple of days and that was after seeing a news blurb on the telly about a tow truck driver getting severely injured by a hook on a tow cable that came detached from a car down an embankment and the hook hit the guy square in the face. Right then I knew who the unlucky guy was; then again, he must've had a little luck or else he would have been decapitated. Saw him a couple weeks later with his face still bandaged up. Wasn't long before he was out of there, probably because no job/no rent money. Funny how the few who really deserve a hand up never seem to get one.
The euros filming that truck n tow rig fiasco impressed me. Nobody screeching "onMYGAWD" over and over like a skipping record, no shakey sky, shoes, sky, shoes camera work. Just a solid shot of shit goin' down, all the way down...
When Monday just would not end.
ReplyDeleteIf those were repo men they are not very good.

I drove wreckers for years and had more than a few ugly incidents but never anything like these two MENSA members, ouch.

ReplyDelete...just when think your day can't get any worse, it does. Nemo
ReplyDeleteA better title would be “and you thought towing was a low skilled job.”
