Drugs Are Bad, Mmmkay..

A man is behind bars Wednesday after police said he was inside a stranger’s basement under the influence of meth and damaged their HVAC system with an ax.

This all happened Tuesday around 10:30 p.m. when police said they got a call about a burglary. The homeowner reported they heard someone banging around in their basement

They found a stranger on meth with an ax.

Police said that stranger was Joshua Pelletier, 31, in the basement of a home on Hooksett Street in Seabrook.

“That axe he was using to smash the heating and AC unit in the basement of the home,” Seabrook Lt. Timothy Mone said.

Seabrook police said officers deployed a K-9 and tried to get Pelletier to drop the ax. The suspect initially refused police commands to get out of the basement, but eventually, he listened.

“This appears to be random and Mr. Pelletier was believed to be under the influence of illicit substances and I believe that's what contributed to the behavior that we saw,” Mone said.

  1. I'm surprised that the homeowners didn't shoot Josh.
    Or at least investigate.
But to call the police and say, "we hear a noise".
    WTF??

    2. In NH, shooting an intruder can get you in all kinds of bullshit.

    3. I dont know about confronting an unknown situation like that. Even if you are armed, so might the asshole and you are likely giving him the first shot. Notice the cops sent the dog first because they didnt want to walk into a gunfight by accident.

    4. Fuck calling the cops, you already got him in the basement. Hard parts over already.

  2. No mention if the homeowners were young powerful people like President Elect B Woodman and just shunned their patriotic duty to 2nd Amendment the intruder.

Or maybe senior citizens with limited mobility.

  3. Oh, wait! It's Seabrook, so it wasn't drugs. it's the radiation leakage from the nuke plant affecting his brain. One of my sisters once lived in Seabrook for a short time, right across the salt marsh from the nuke plant. Looking out the front window of her appmt she was looking at the plant.

I was helping her move in and saw that on the first trip in carrying boxes, looked at her and said: "So how long before you start glowing in the dark?" Needless to say she was not happy.

  4. From the picture, a 230 grain hollowpoint pill or two administered rapidly would solve his problems and the homeowners problem as well.

    2. Spoken like someone that has never butchered out a deer. Meth Head was in your basement, OK? You've just splattered him across that basement (and no doubt splattered yourself with his probably Hep-C blood, good times, eh?). Meth head has defecated allover himself.

Now since your basement smells like death, shall you do your Hannible Lector right there or drag him outside to the wondering eyes of your neighbors to chop up the still warm body?

Watching Murder TV is no way to live your life, Boy.

  5. People not of our kind B.

I knew people and learned a lot about meth. One stated it is the most addictive drug on earth because of the amount of dopamine release. Oklahoma used to have a high use rate, don't hear about it so much anymore as of late.

  6. Seems like the smart move if the family was safe. Just close the door and call someone with Qualified Immunity to take care of it.

  8. Drug abusers are the most unpredictable hazards for our local police. The police have rules of engagement where they have to deescalate the situation yet Meth-Heads (they are everywhere) can be almost passive before doing something violent.

Also, they can adsorb a lot of damage before stopping, so again a Police concern.

It is worthwhile to research your local law about self-defense shooting. Around here your weapon can be secured by the police until the investigation is resolved. I've heard in other localities they can search your home and secure all your weapons until investigation is resolved.

Sometimes calling the police isn't the worse choice. Sometimes the elderly don't feel like Wild Earp.

Once you actually have to shoot someone at blood splashing range your life will be changed.

  10. I would have shot first and asked no questions. The axe is a death warrant.

  11. Police: "You have 5 seconds to drop the axe."
    Asshole: "No."
    Police : " 2...3...4....5.."
    BANG!
Police: "Hello morgue. Got a stiff for you."
Current problem solved and who knows how many future problems. THe only people inconvenienced will be the drug dealers losing a good customer but they have no shortage of customers.

  13. Don’t give the criminal an excuse by blaming the drugs. He committed a crime. Try him for that. Leave out the political bs.
