  1. I didn't see any human coolant. Man, that is a ride I would never want to take.

  2. If I had to guess, the highway has a low speed limit, and the guardrail end treatment wasn't designed for someone testing how fast their car can go. Highway standards call for an extruder, or a cushion for speeds above 45 mph, and neither allow a guardrail to skewer a car.

  3. Drove for a living 1971-1995 and saw some awful and bizarre things. Saw an accident like that with one of the old narrow guard rails on I-75 in Michigan. It was a 68-69 Ford Torino and the rail fit right into the grill. The young man was still in the seat and the end of the rail was in the trunk.

  4. I've driven fast. I've been saved from my own stupid stunts. (Saved by Gods angels)
I accepted the risks. I either lived or died by my skill and plain dumb luck.

To be extracted from the wreckage is too much. If you have ever rolled on a scene of this kind of tragic consequence, you know how it cuts you to the bone. It is horrifying to witness the many ways a human can slice and dice and impale themselves and yes succumb to slow death in spite of your efforts.

With all that said, do not respond to these type of accidents.
It wasn't an accident. It was a purpose gone out of control for a millisecond. At that speed, a bump in the road would be enough.

Stupid hurts the aggrieved the most.

    1. Supposedly Israels health report is out on the webz. I've never rolled up on something like this, hope she is okay. Have seen videos of things airlifted off transportation vehicles impaling vehicles behind.

  6. Had a college buddy die from a steel pipe that fell off a salvage truck. Impaled through the windshield and into his chest.

  7. That's a real pucker-factor moment. I wonder if Robert Kubica craps his pants a little every time he goes by a guardrail like that...
