  2. Nice bike.

I went through a bike phase. Had a couple of Kawasaki 500 triples, and then a Yamaha RD350, and then an RD400.

Then I got tired of seeing friends get hurt, and quit riding.

  3. Rd was one of the only 2 stroke street bikes.I wrecked my first vehicle 2 weeks after getting it. My dad was a hard ass and refused to turn it in on insurance because he thought his rates may go up. I couldn't afford another car payment at 17 so i had to ride a street legal enduro for the next 2 years whether it was raining or cold .It sucked but I made it through it. It was a good life lesson.

  4. Had that exact same bike. Rode it halfway across the country. Yeah, I was pretty young, and the cramped seating didn't bother me much.
Ended up tossing it off a cliff on Angles Crest Highway. Hey, it was either that or the truck that crossed the double yellow.

    1. We rode from Mass to Bar Harbor Maine then took the ferry to Nova Scotia. We were young and thought we would travel all the way to Cape Breton Island. NOT on a rice rocket. We gave up and did a marathon ride through New Bruswick and all the way back to Old Orchard Beach in Maine.
We spent the rest of the weeks vacation on the beach and didn't get back on the bikes for 3-4 days.

  5. Nice bike. I remember those. Been riding My whole life (60 now). Currently have a CTX 1300-D. Had not been started for about 3 weeks. Went to find the can to take and get fresh fuel w/stabilizer. Remembered I loaned it out, and never got it back. Went to Home Depot & picked up a new one. PAIN IN THE ASS, what they did to the nozzles. Anyway, bike fired right up, and after rain all night, it is 60 degrees now, so soon as it dries up a little,,,, ;)
