I'm no base jumper, but from what I saw, he pulled both risers, while pointing at the cliff face. If they're for steering, he steered full speed ahead into rock.
Hi Jess, He's unstowing the steering toggles. Unfortunatly, unstowing the toggles or even trying to "rear riser" turn away from the cliff at that point was "futile!" 'Hard to tell exactly how high the exit point is or how long he fell before he tossed his pilot chute? Another second of fall might have gotten him a more "positive' opening.
