After I picked him up, I had to walk over 100 yards to get him to a stream that I found.
It's amazing how far he was from water. I hope the little guy makes it.......
Just for the record if it was any of the following I would have kicked them further into the street:

ReplyDeleteit is a baby snapping turtle. it has just hatched (the mothers often lay there eggs in gravel beside roads).
ReplyDeleteI hope the stream was in the direction it was heading because if not it will get out of the stream and go in it's original direction.
