                      Pentagon's Fortress Plan For Bases: 90 Days Self-Sufficiency

All my life my daddy would tell me it was far better to have something I "might" need than to need said item and not have it. I'm sure others on here have heard similar and have the same mindset. Then again, I would have thought most, if not all military bases already had a contingency plan similar to the 90 day self-sufficiency plan the Pentagon just ordered all bases to implement. This is not a "the sky is falling" post, but it something to consider. I shiver to think what might become of the citizens of this country if even part it went dark and supply lines were interrupted for 90 days. This warning is for military bases. I take it that the rest of us are on our own. We are usually in pretty good shape for several days of power outages, etc., living in a rural area, but ninety days without utility services/groceries/medical care, etc. would be an entirely different affair.  Below is the story.
