    1. That truck used to be easily visible on the 101 freeway in LA headed from the S.F. Valley into Hollywood (parked in some random location). I no longer live there but remember it seeing it all the time on that route. The Partridge Family bus used to be parked at an old-time gas station near my house in a town called Calabasas. Fun growing up in the Valley in the 60s/70s. SO, SO, SO glad to have gotten OUT of CA before 2000.

    2. Eastbound and down.

I just watched "Damnation Alley" again the other night. It's a terrible movie. I've read the book many times. I saw that vehicle from the 101 freeway once back in the '90s and recognized it immediately.

    3. Weird! I did the same thing with the same reaction. Damnation Alley was a great short novella that they turned into a suckwad of a movie.

    4. It sat behind a warehouse in Canoga Park, about a mile from my house, and I used to ride my bike past its parking place regularly.

    1. Yes, that was one of the highlights of the SOU speech last night, especially seeing her reaction, live. That and Trump calling out the Demonrats for not standing and applauding a couple of the guests, then calling them all crazy for not applauding when talked about deporting criminal illegals and passing the Save Act. Another was when he called out the SJC for dunking on the tariffs. I just wish he had said something about the AJ dunce Katanji Brown Jackson not attending. She was probably scared he'd call he out specifically.

The best parts of the speech, IMHO, was when he called out four veterans and awarded them medals, two of whom were awarded The Medal of Honor; one to a 100 year old Navy veteran who flew in Korea.

      Best political theater in ages.

  5. Aunt Jenny Johnston? Never heard of her, but a web search brings up a bunch of stories with the same basis. Seems real but it's not talked about in the parts of Florida I've grown up and lived in.

    1. Won that fight more than once... Was almost as good as the Red Flag TDY's in the early 80's.

  10. The cars were hot back then. But the women were much hotter. Real women that looked like women and acted like women. I am thankful for living in that era.
