Ah, Winter in New England. Today: I fondly remember it now. Especially since i had 2 teenage snowblower drivers. But back then: Fuck this white shit. If that snow plow comes by 1 more time right after I finish the driveway. I WILL hunt that bastard down.
40 or so years ago we had a big storm in the same town I live in now. The street I lived on then was a short 400 yds long dead end with a dozen or so houses on it. Our road hadn't been plowed all day and there was 5 foot tall snow bank at the end of the road that joined to a larger thoroughfare. I'm in the kitchen looking out the window and saw three city snow plows drive by in train with their plows off the ground. There was also a fire station less than 1/4 mile from my road. I had to call the mayor's office to get the DPW to come plow our road and, of course, when they did plow, they put most of that 5 foot snow bank right in my driveway.
I make sure to scrape down the road 100 yards before my driveway - especially when it is the cleanup pass at the end of a storm. This way when the plow comes through for the last time, the plow and wing are empty going past my mailboxes. Never have a berm at the end of the driveway after I'm done for the day.
I saw it called the bombcyclone which means you’ll get about an inch. These doomporn weather people are irritating
