Feature not a bug, history repeats. It takes about four turnings. Average life of republics is about 250 years, Rome was at the far right side of the bell curve. How old are we this year? OH SHIT, gird up your loins brothers.
That is an excellent piece of satire! We'd be much better off taking the practical/simple approaches to most of our problems, but then again, there are the "blue hairs".
“Howls of derisive laughter”. Some may remember the quotation. Sadly this video is not fantasy. I’m a 76 year resident of the “golden state”. That makes me a NSGW — a great old institution. There are still many of us here holding down the fort and waving the colors. Thanks for all that you do Irish!
Remember folks, California was a DEEP RED state until people from blue states and Mexico moved there, and Texas is making the same stupid mistakes California made back in the day. Unfortunately, Texas, you are not immune.
I'm thinking that the fired security officer lost his health insurance, his kids had to drop out of college, he couldn't afford his California taxes anymore so moved to Texas, bought a better house, got a better job and put his kids in better schools.
I was born in CA in the late 50s. Reagan was the last good Governor of California as he would have done what TX Gov had done. After Reagan there was Dem Gov Jerry Brown that let in the environmentalists to ruin the state. I left in 96 with my family due to business and went to the east coast and then south.
I had 2 uncles that lived out there since the 1930's. both had small farms and did very well too. BUT, both of them left in the mid-late 1980's. and moved back to old KY. and now where they used to have farms is now housing project or was. little south of San Jose. on the main drag/street/whatever it was back in the day. they made millions when they sold out. and the reason why they left a place they loved. TAXES and stupid. one of them called the "tree huggers" where going to drive the whole state into the ground ! and that was what he told me back in 1991 or so. the part I think he hated the most was leaving all of his fruit trees behind. he always talked about walking out and getting something 'fresh" off the tree in his backyard. he seem to really miss doing that.
this is so perfect and true

Your question is one that must be asked, will not be answered, and must be responded to.
DeleteWe don't have to, but we're letting it happen... Next...

That's a great clip and an example of what's going on in the red/blue divide that has been going on in this country for the last 50 years.
