I saw her when she was 65 giving a show. She told jokes, sang, and danced. When she sang she walked through the audience and mesmerized every man there.
My dad (RPI Ch.E., his entire sophomore class enlisted in 1942) was not a big watcher of television when I was a kid, but there were 2 shows he almost never missed. Star Trek and I Dream of Jeannie. Star Trek dad, 2 of my brothers and I usually watched because, science fiction (the oldest brother enlisted in the Air Force in 1967 as a good plan to avoid the chance of being drafted into the infantry). But years later I sometimes wondered why he never missed I Dream of Jeannie. I suppose when I hit my mid-50s and happened upon a glamour shot of her, realized what a MILF she had been, I suddenly understood my dads' TV viewing preferences. "Oh, Master!" The submissive, sexy and mischievous undertones went over my 10 year old head in the 1960s LOL.
Scary was not a word that came to mind when looking at Ms. Eden.
