  1. That song has become the “fuckit, get your kit.” signal for many Americans.

    1. Well...for the Vietnam generations, it is. For my generation, who went off to Afghanistan and Iraq, it's Drowning Pool's "Bodies". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04F4xlWSFh0

  2. I may have to fly back from Australia to visit the family in Texas. Can somebody loan me a rifle?

    1. I would, but mine were lost in a tragic boating incident.

  3. yeah, I keep my "kit" ready to go behind my chair. something I have done for years after living in philly.
I find the bail out bag that holds 6 magazines handy to have nearby. I did add a couple of pistol magazines pouches
as well to it. Maxpedition made a really good bag, but they don't seem to carry it anymore.
Midway has them at 30 bucks a pop. so it easy to have a bag setup for each rifle. add a blow out kit, some munchies
and a water bottle and it good to go. I started thinking about adding a 8oz. flash to each kit as well too.
don't really drink anymore, nothing like I used to anyway. but a hip flask with some good whisky in it might not be a bad idea to have in there as well the way things are going. dave in pa.

    1. Dave, I use what is called the Jumbo Bailout Bag fro LA Police Gear. Not as good as Maxpedition, but more in my price range. Holds what I need for quick reaction when something penetrates the wire.

    2. looks to be a handy bag. but the problem with bags is the bigger they are, the more stuff you try to pack into them. and as a old busted down grunt. I know that is a problem. weight. 6, 20 round SR-25 magazines and 2 Sig Sauer 226 magazines then to add up. add a quart size water bottle, blow out kit and some candy bars and it
weighs more that you think. plus small Maglight, spare batteries for it and the scope.
not something I plan on "humping" a long distance anyway. have backpacks in the truck setup if worse comes to worse. my bail out bags are setup for each rifle, kind of a grab and go kit to get one started like.
as with anything else in life. YMMV dave in pa.

    3. Totally agree with your assessment Dave. As a disabled veteran with crappy knees I'm not jogging too far myself. I think of that as more of a B bag than anything else.
Stay safe. Watch yer top knot and keep your powder dry.

  4. At first it was but a whiff: a faint scent of something somewhat awry.
Now, after months, the sense is unmistakable. It has grown from a vaguely unsettling feeling in your gut to a visceral stomach-turning realization that the wolves are drawing near the gate. Their tyrannical stench hangs heavy. You come to realize that the sheepdogs we had trusted to be our guardians have grown fat and apathetic dining on the scraps they’ve been scavenging from the pack.
The time of sheepdogs is past. The time of wolfhounds is drawing near.

    1. You were deceived; they weren't sheepdogs.

    2. True enough. They were (and are) jackals.
And that’s an insult to jackals.

  6. We must organize the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilization stink. Only then, after they have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, can we impose the dictatorship of the proletariat.

  7. At first a little French shepherd girl is killed by a wolf. It is 1764, these things happen. Then more wolf attacks. Then, a war breaks out between the humans and wolves, costing the lives of about 100 humans. The wolves are uncannily clever, even sensing ambushes and repelling attacks by regular army soldiers. It started small and grew big, until that one guy, a great huntsman, showed up and, at great cost, defeated the wolves. Search on the Beast of Gévaudan. Think of Hitchcock's "The Birds," or the odd TV show "Zoo" where the animals are no longer afraid of us. Now, the forces of decadency, having started bit by bit over decades, are getting more confident and figure they have no thing and no one to fear and feel "Invincible." Well, as Leonides said in 300, we'll put that name to the test. And hopefully not end up like the Spartans and Thebans did at the Hot Gates.

  10. The recent ruling by the SJC deciding that Texas is NOT ALLOWED to defend it's border with Mexico could be the final cup of gasoline poured on a smoldering fire. So much for the lies foisted on us by all of the CONstitutional pundits about a "conservative SJC" for the foreseeable future.

News reports indicate that Bribem may Federalize the TX Nat. Guard to prevent Abbot from using the Guard at the border.

Then there's Fort Bliss, home of 1st Armored. Gotta wonder if they'll roll out to oppose TX Nat. Guard if/when so ordered.

Other reports indicate Bribem may also declare Martial Law in Texas.

Can Obozo Bribem REALLY be THAT stupid?

    1. Yes. Yes they can.
Imagine being a young E-nothing on a patrol to root out the Texans and hearing "Fortunate Son" start playing from a deer stand. He will immediately question his enlistment.

    2. All the Supremes did was vacate the lower court holding, they said absolutely nothing else, two sentence finding.
The media are spinning it way bigger than it was.
