  4. Look on the bright side, I heard they're having a big sale on electric vehicles in Chicago that didn't want to charge up in the cold.

    1. Used WV's are going to be cheap as dirt this year as Hertz is dumping their entire fleet because NO ONE WANTS RENT THEM risking getting stuck with a dead battery in unfamiliar territory. Imagine flying into O'hare, renting an EV and getting stuck in Chicongo's south side at night on a weekend.

  6. Bad timing for Boeing. But the engines aren't made by them and someone else is doing the maintenance. And it doesn't look like a 747 to me.

  7. Stepping back and looking from outside:
You remember how the government is trying to restrict your movements.
Think about the whole 15 minute city thing.
Now... Consider what a great motivator fear is (shots, masks, etc.)
Do you come to the conclusion that they are trying to make you afraid to fly so they can control where you go just that much easier?
Take away flying, take away your car, what's left as a means of travel? They already own the passenger rail service.
You'll stay put in your 15 minute city and like it.

  9. Being winter, near Chicago, I avoid the Embraer puddle jumpers, as I understand that they still have difficulty flying under icing conditions.
Boeing apparently got into difficulty when they transitioned from a plane making company led by engineers to a plane assembly company, using parts that others make, with corporate policies determined by accountants.
