And so, nowadays, Congress spends like a drunken sailor for themselves, their constituent buddies, Foreign Governments, and sundry "causes" that amount to vote-buying. Malfeasance, period. Almost NOBODY in Congress is worth a warm bucket of spit. Empty or full!
Now there's nothing they won't STEAL, and no one they won't give it to...especially if it will secure some votes, guarantee a future job, guarantee a future campaign donation, etc.
Ahhh yes, the 'sternly worded letter' response. That always makes them start quaking in their boots! Ron Paul is as worthless as tits on a bull. Great orator, wonderful guy, I'm sure, smart as a whip! But as effective as a fauci-mask mandate. He, nor his Son, have ever accomplished anything other than some grand grandstanding!
I had first heard this story several years ago on a documentary. I searched for it in a few books, online, etc. and could not find it. I am glad I stumbled upon this YouTube video while looking for some information in regards to The Battle of Horseshoe Bend. That Crockett was quite the character and the simplicity of this message is golden.
Thanks for this video, Jeffery. I have used Davy's comment many times to try and convince people that the federal government is not supposed to be the behemoth it has become and has no business trying to run our daily lives the way they try to.
As an aside, Davy is up there in my family tree, through marriage.
Send this to every office holder at all levels, yeah, most will ignore it or label it passe'. But it is truth. Just because a man is a farmer, rancher, or talks slower than you doesn't mean he's stupid, in fact, he's likely more practically educated than any politician. The Founders are spinning RPM's in their graves over what the reprobates have done to their Constitutional prescription.
I agree Paul M. One thing that struck me about the story was the farmer Davey encountered being up on current events in D.C. coupled with the fact that he had knowledge and understood the mechanics of the Constitution. Of course that before our press/MSM became a domestic enemy and ally to the communists. .
