Update on Mom...

Mom is doing better, thank god, and thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

I spoke with her a few times yesterday as well as to her nurse. She sounds less congested and

they have reduced the oxygen levels to less than when she went in. She only has an oxygen

cannula under her nose and IV for fluids. She is eating and staying hydrated.

As far as she is aware , no remdesivir.  We have other issues to take care of that involve Dad,

so she has to get her "helmet on and get back in the game". Something she used to tell me.

Life sometimes throws you a huge shit sandwich. The only way is to digest it is in small bites

and one day it will be gone only to be replaced by something else. In between that, the sun

shine feels warm as it rises in the sky. Everything is sprouting and budding. The birds sing

Rabbits and squirrels frolic in the yard,

and the cats want to eat them...

Caesar on the left and Julius on the right. Both were feral. Julius adopted us and we adopted Caesar.

  7. How did you ever get your ferals to be indoor cats?
Mine will enter the house, but if it looks like the door is shutting, they skedaddle.
Friendly as hell when on the deck; not so much anywhere else.

    1. One of my cats was feral was injured in a fight. So I got him fix up, neutered and he is part of the indoor tribe. All of my other cats were rescues and they stay indoors.

  10. Re: Shit Sandwich,

Life is like a shit sandwich.
The more bread you have, the less shit you got to to eat.

  11. Spend every moment you can with your folks, they deserve it and years later you will be thankful for that time. I took care of my mom for 2 years at the end, it was a huge blessing for me that still warms my heart, I was lucky to have that time with her.

  13. Anybody who would name a housepet "Caesar" either didn't see Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes(1971), or learned nothing from it. ;)

  19. There are 2 places to get script hydroxy chloroquine and ivermectin. Frontline Doctors and Myfreedoctor. Frontline charges fee, the other doesn't technically change but does request a donation. Other than my copay, my insurance actually covered the medication.
