  2. I went to a trade show that had a robot made by Miller Welders running beads. After a short demonstration it would turn to the crowd and wave bye-bye before taking a short break so you could admire it's beauty.
I can't remember for sure but this show was right around 1990 or so. Industrial robots have been with us long time.

  3. Anthropomorphizing machines. She's watched too many Disney movies. It's an object, not a person. Not even an animal. She probably voted DemonRat too.

  9. Wonder how Mulandra feels about millions of black babies being murdered then sliced and diced for their stem cells and other parts making rich assholes out of shop of horrors owners....

  10. Today's AI's, and tomorrow's, are just glorified decision tree calculators. When a machine can hold an opinion without it being programmed into them to begin with then I'll worry

    1. Considering the average intellect of the people we hear about in the news every single day; I'm not sure if your statement makes me feel better or worse.

  11. I would have had the robot vacuum up the leaked hydraulic fluid and transfer it into the hydraulic reservoir and then notify a technician to repair the leak. But then, I'm not an artist.

  13. Anyone else notice that the robot only spends about 7 seconds out of that 81 second clip actually cleaning up the oil. I guess it was programmed with a "progressive" work ethic.

  15. Yeah but this still doesn't beat four agricultural combines square dancing in a small corral. Yes: Dip to your partner, Do-si-do, Reverse, Everything. No computers; just four big agile machines and four good drivers. Decades ago at the State Fair.
