    1. I wouldn't mind being 9 years younger than I am, but then again I wouldn't be happily retired yet.....

  2. Yeah, '72 was the year I graduated high school, too. I don't think I knew the song for 20 years after that, though.

    1. We had a couple good FM stations in the area that played album oriented stuff that you didn't hear on the AM pop and top 40 stations. We also had one that played weird and wonderful underground music on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. It was great being able to hear things like Spooky Tooth and Savoy Brown and early QMS...........

  3. Traffic also did Feelin Alright. The group spawned the singer of the song We Just Disagree, Dave Mason, I think. I graduated in 1978.

  4. Those are two great songs, Pigpen and you are correct. Dave Mason was one of the founders of Traffic........

    1. I always find it interesting when I find out where different musicians have traveled in the music business. Timothy B. Schmitt, the long haired bass player for the Eagles since 1980, came from the band Poco.
I am sure glad that I was able to grow up in an age when we had decent music. Even most of the country music not I can't stand. I mean, the girls singing it are pretty to look at, but it isn't like Hank Williams or even George Strait and that era. I guess I am showing how old I am really getting.

    2. I had never heard of Poco until I did a short stint at a radio station back in early 1973. Found a DJ promo copy of "Good Feeling To Know" and liked it so much that it kind of walked off and joined my collection......

  5. Fun Fact: Steve Winwood and Chris Wood also played on Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland album.
