Boeing 767 Landing in Severe Winds....

  1. The camera action made it look like it was landing like a helicopter. No forward motion until the wheels touched down. But great driving by the jet jockey.

  2. Couple years ago I was on a plane that landed so hard coming into Salt Lake that it blew all four tires on the left side and the wheels dug into the runway - grinding us to a stop. That was exciting!

  3. He should have dropped his tail hook! Crosswind landings like that are the ones where you are biting washers out of the pilots seat with your rear end.

  4. Looks like his second bounce was harder than the first.

  6. The right side landing gear shook like a wet dog on touchdown, and the left only a bit less. I bet it felt like it might drag a wingtip to the people in steerage..........
