Canada has sent some Hydro crews to reconnect power lines and remove the trees that fell on the electrical lines.A decade ago Canada suffered from an ice storm that dropped a lot of power lines. It took several weeks to restore power and that was with the help of crews from New York utilities. There is similar co-operation when fighting forest fires.
Absolutely, so remind me why we send TRILLIONS to every god forsaken country in the world? You'd think the Russians would lend a hand to Bloomy .........
They are in doing that in Jersey as well. WHY? The way it should be is everyone pitches in until the devastation is fixed. This is why I dislike the unions. They have become obsolete and too political.
I thought maybe Canada?? Considering how much help we gave the Indonesians after the tsunami, they could at least offer.
ReplyDeleteCW if you see anything about Canada helping let me know. Thanks :)
DeleteIndeed. I don't see another country dropping food or support.
ReplyDeleteNothing yet as far as I know Keads.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are a few but I havent seen any mention at all of help being offered. I'm sure Canada would help if allowed.

ReplyDeleteWE are always sending help everywhere.
DeleteRemember obama already blew off a lot of foreign help that was offered during the gulf oil spill, no need for a second thumb in the eye.
ReplyDeleteThey turned back a bunch of help so I heard.
DeleteExcellent post, Irish.
