Yes, it is. I'd been living in SoCal for about 10 years, and had forgotten what the night sky really looked like. One of my buddies and I took our kids on their first camping trip, and around 2 in the morning I got up to use the privy. I was stunned at how many stars there were! A huge, glowing band across the sky, and just like in that picture, you could see the color of a lot of the stars. Makes me want to get out of SoCal even more!
Where did you guys go camping? I'm from North Carolina and live San Diego now and want my kids to see the some thing. Summer nights back home you could see the galaxy as you described. You can send me a message to my Facebook if you like because I randomly found this website.https://www.facebook.com/dustin.dettmar Thanks a bunch! Éirinn Go Brách

We are at this moment closing the distance at mind boggling speed ,and will in about 7 billion year`s collide. Talk about near misses and Russian roulette . If our galaxy survives that, in about 8 billion year`s our sun will go super nova and incinerate what is left. (like we give a shit ,right?) " In heaven there ain`t no beer that`s why we drink our`s here".
Yes, it is.
