Where Do Some Of Your Tax Dollars Go??

Let this college girl tell you:

My Time at Walmart: Why We Need Serious Welfare Reform
During the 2010 and 2011 summers, I was a cashier at Wal-Mart #1788 in Scarborough, Maine. I spent hours upon hours toiling away at a register, scanning, bagging, and dealing with questionable clientele. These were all expected parts of the job, and I was okay with it. What I didn’t expect to be part of my job at Wal-Mart was to witness massive amounts of welfare fraud and abuse.

  1. If I were ever unable to care for my own family and had to rely on the taxpayers to do it for me, I sure as hell would use it sparingly and with a good deal of thoughtfulness. There damn sure wouldn't be any kitkat bars or twinkies. It's kind of amazing how much of this goes on. What ever happened to pride?

  2. My experience as a cashier at Shaw's Supermarket mirrors hers, FWIW. And that was 20+ years ago...
