  2. Can you imagine if the pilot (DEI?) put it through the airport concourse?

  3. Saw a pilot narrated explanation. He was to fast at the point of contact for the main landing gear. The nose was already down.

  8. Flying one of those behemoths requires a diligence most people don't have, and a coordination that doesn't allow even seconds to not correct a problem. From what I've read, both pilots had an opportunity to avoid the accident, and neither made the correct decision.

    1. I have to look into it. It could be an issue with google still. I’m not sure what’s up.

    2. I suspect this is an internal Google blogger issue. For those of us using Blogger Reader it has not updated in three days. So it don't show new posts by bloggers in my subscription list. And the only way to see new posts is to go to the individual bookmarked blogs to check for new posts.

    1. Thrust reversers, brakes and spoilers wont work unless the wheels are firmly planted on the runway and the switches close the circuit allowing their deployment. At 130 knots the plane still want to fly. But if you are still trucking at 170 knots and don't touch the runway til past mid point its not going to happen cause the plane is still flying. Watch the video links above. This was an unstable approach, it should have automatically triggered a go around above 1000 ft agl. Instead they waited to cob the throttles less than 15 seconds before they went off the end of the runway. This is criminal negligence on part of the flight crew.
