I spent quite a lot of time in the Philippines in the 1980's when Marcos was implementing martial law. While walking around Manila if I encountered a riot ensuing on a certain boulevard I'd continue walking until everything was quiet. Call it a survival instinct. It was a reflex action. I didn't fight the impulse to avoid the melee, thus engaging with rioters and police. Regarding the Minneapolis incident where a Mr. Pretti was gunned down, the story I've heard was ICE was attempting to arrest an illegal convicted violent offender. Why would anyone want to interfere? Also, there's a phenomenon called Cop Brain and those individuals afflicted are extremely agitated, distrustful, paranoid, violent types who are packing heat. When they dispense with a life they are often promoted to higher rank and given a pay raise. Don't wander down that street. I like what this guy said in the video above. DeleteBut, but, but.... the GOVERNMENT has been telling us for ever that these are highly trained individuals that know how to conduct these type of operations. What you are describing is a pack of dogs chasing a female in heat!
Not all cops have Cop Brain. There's always some who are pretty calm and intelligent about their interactions. The problem in Minneapolis and everywhere else is ICE is hunted, stalked and attacked... seems like every day. Those guys are entirely within their wits to do whatever it takes to survive, so those traits I described above apply.
DeleteThe Pretti boy thing is starting to come unraveled. All the ICE guys involved had their body cams on, so DC knows exactly what happened. It's probably been mentioned here before, but the model Sig Pretti boy carried was notorious for accidental discharges, so he may have been killed by his own gun.

DeleteThat model is known for accidental discharges. That is true. But it is also true that we can all see and hear in the video that all the shots were fired AFTER his gun was removed and taken away.

It is starting to come out that these are paid protesters and who is paying them. Also the signals they use and that the state and local govt is tied into it. The Petti person broke Federal felony law as he was trying to block ICE from arresting a criminal illegal.

1st Amendment - Freedom of speech. Fuck that if you protest you are the enemy and subject to summary execution
2nd Amendment - Pretti was killed BECAUSE he had a LEGAL gun on him. He never used or reached for the gun that was his RIGHT to own and carry
3rd Amendment - No soldier quartering. Hotels that refuse service to ICE/CBP are getting shutdown. Didn't WE argue for shop owner's right to refuse service to those they don't agree with? Do you remember the Colorado weeding cake maker?
4th Amendment - Searches and Seizures. ICE is searching and seizing people's property for the crime of looking Latino or Asian. There are dozens of reports from Minneapolis law enforcement officers getting harassed when of duty. No judge is signing the warrants they are using to go into people's homes.
5th Amendment - Due process. ICE could not care less about due process.
6th Amendment - Right to a public trial. Do I need to say more?
8th Amendment - Cruel and Unusual Punishment. ICE has deported innocent people to a gulag in El Salvador. 50% of those deported had no criminal record and MANY had come legally following the rules we set for them.
9th Amendment - Unenumerated Rights. The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
10th Amendment - STATES RIGHTS! The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
ICE is trampling 9 of the 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights.
The Constitution is not negotiable. It is not a take out menu from which you choose which parts you want.
If you cheer for the destruction of the constitution know that the constitution will not be there to protect you when your turn comes.
-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that some leftist BROKE the law by protesting at a church doesn't mean that the GOVERNMENT gets to kill Americans that protest. Furthermore private citizens breaking the law is BAD. The GOVERNMENT braking the law is exponentially worse.
Watch the video. Watch ALL the videos. Pretti was NOT BRANDISHING a weapon. His gun was in his holster until a CBP agent took it away BEFORE Pretti was murdered. CBP shot 10 times and killed an unarmed man while he was laying on the floor. By the way there have been no riots in Minnesota since 2020.
Hotels are businesses. We fought all the way to the supreme court for business owners right not to serve clients they don't like. Now the GOVERNMENT is forcing business to serve people they don't want to serve! The GOVERNMENT is forcing business owners to house an army they don't want to house.
Most people detained by ICE don't get due process. In many cases ICE is arresting people that have not broken the law and that are following the rules. ICE is now going door to door trying to find random people.
That doesn't mean that ICE is not arresting criminals. They are! But they are not arresting ONLY criminals.

A. 50% of the people getting deported have no criminal record.
B. We are not always sending them to their home countries. We sent hundreds of Venezuelans to a jail in El Salvador from which there is no way out.
Think about it for a second. We sent innocent people no criminal record), people that broke no laws, not even our immigration laws to jail in a foreign country (America gave them legal status and Trump rescinded that status overnight). That is the very definition of cruel and unusual punishment.
The Federal Government has jurisdiction over immigration. There is no doubt about it.
The problem is that what the Federal Government is doing in Minneapolis is not immigration and we all know it. Bondi gave up the game when she said that they would pull ICE out of Minneapolis in exchange for the Minnesota voter rolls.
You do you. Celebrate this all you want. Be happy that the brown people are getting harassed but know that this will sooner or later impact you and the people you love.
I believe in the Constitution over ANY POLITICIAN, POLITICAL PARTY or GOVERNMENT. You are choosing to believe the government and the politicians that hate the same people you hate. The big question is what will happen when the people that hate YOU take control of the government again. Will you be safe then?
Trump is 79 years old, chances are he will not make it to the end of his term (have you seen his hands?). Democrats will take over EVERYTHING in the midterms and will likely take the presidency in 2028 (with Trump out of the picture MAGA is dead).
The constitution is not there to limit Trump/MAGA. The constitution is there to protect ALL of us from the GOVERNMENT. ALL GOVERNMENTS.
Limited government is good thing. A government that can take over a city against the will of the people of that city is not limited.
The federal Government sent 3000-4000 agents to Minneapolis. For reference the Minneapolis Police Department has 600 officers. That is an invasion against the will of the will of the people of Minneapolis.
