Security Camera Footage Captures Shooting In Montgomery
[There are two videos linked in the article. It looks like total chaos as anyone could imagine. In the above photo the guy laying low and right of center in the white t-shirt has a pistol. He can be seen in the video getting up and trotting off with the gun in hand. I was waiting for the law or someone from the opposing tribe/team/gang/WTFE to plug him. Something to consider.

I agree with you, Yogi. We have something similar here in Indianapolis. We avoid downtown if B Expo is happening. Seems like all of the normal rules are thrown out during that occasion, and it isn’t worth the stress.

The Ferris Wheel looks like it was probably in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites on Water Street and the shooting took place at Bibb and Commerce which is the route between the two locations? Sure, a bunch of 13 percenters from rival colleges and free beer. Sounds like a great combination to me. What could go wrong? /s

DeleteI noticed the location from the few photos I could find of the Ferris wheel /party venue looked to be about a block and half from where the shooting took place (intersection of Bibb and Commerce/near Wentzel's Oyster House, etc.).
Pretty sure that once the facts are out we'll find out that a certain subspecies was involved doing what that certain subspecies is famous for doing....

ReplyDeleteOfficials in Montgomery are denying the shooting had anything to do with an event that brought large numbers of the 13% into the area. Most Americans would be stunned if they saw first hand, for say 24 hours, how places like Birmingham, Montgomery and blessed Selma have transformed into blighted wastelands in the last five decades. Content of character indeed.
ReplyDeleteThose cities have sure enough have been "transformed". They were once showplaces of he South. Now, parts of those places resemble a war torn third world shithole or a set from the series "The Walking Dead". These days, it is not only unsafe, but downright dangerous to visit them.
DeleteThis is the 'monied' area of downtown. The nice hotels, what passes for the decent restaurants in Montgomery. Was just there three nights before to see Billy Bob Thornton & the Boxmasters at the MPAC theater where this took place. You has the perfect storm this past weekend, ASU (another hbcu) homecoming the game and the State Fair which has become very sketchy.

ReplyDeleteI'm a son of the South. I've also left the hick town I was raised in and traveled the world thanks to the U.S. Army. In my travels, it has occurred to me that the closer you get to the equator, the more things want to harm you. I once thought I wanted to retire in Costa Rica, until I learned about their snake population. Being from Louisiana, I'm aware of the plants, animals, and insects that are just doing as nature intended. But after traveling North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, people are the most dangerous of God's creatures. It seems the further south you go, the more dangerous the people get. Granted, I haven't traveled much south of the equator, so that statement may be the opposite in the southern hemisphere. Also, I know in large populations, people seem to get bolder. Which is why I avoid crowds and live in the woods. If by chance I have to go where the people are, then I'm going to be carrying, open or concealed.
