For those interested, the header pic is Tuckerman's Ravine, located on the SE flank of Mt Washington, on the left and Wildcat Mt Ski Area on the right.
In 1972 I was driving cross country and it was late at night and I pulled off onto a dirt road in the farmlands in Kansas to sleep. At the crack of dawn a crop duster flew under the power lines and over my car probably 5 feet above me. I double checked the power lines as I jumped into the drivers seat to get the hell out of there and they were probably 20 feet high.
It was null and void then and the Demos wanted Jaworski to challenge it, but Jaworski understood Ford knew Watergate was going to tear the country apart, so he demurred.
PS See Article II, Section 2 and then bitchslap yourself.
In 1980 at 19 years old it was a $7500 fine or loose my ticket. How many 19 year old's have $7500? My uncle was a flight instructor and would train his nieces and nephews for the price of fuel. He was building his hours. I got my instrument rating for about $1400 back in 76-77. I have 3 cousins that are professional pilots. I screwed it up.
As bad as Biden was and is, I'm not entirely sure that his senile dementia and criminality was worse than George IIIs terminal syphililitic madness and greed. Though it is certain that Biden hates the American people for wh I we are and what we believe, while George III just wanted to plunder us for our money and resources. John in Indy
1 Saw the episode many years ago. Barbara portrayed a Gypsies, clothed very similar to genie and makes me think that was the basis for the show due to someone’s creative thinking
I have seen and think I may have posted a stock photo of Jeannie in her outfit from that episode. I agree. I would wager that episode was probably the Genesis behind the later "I Dream of Jeannie" show.
The reason pills are $4 in India and $1,000 here is every other country in the world other than the USA mandates that pills be sold at the marginal cost of production. That means the patients in the USA have to pay the total cost of drug development because no other country allows drug companies to make more than a pittance of profit on drug or medical device sales. If it takes 10 billion dollars to make legal pill number 1 (with all the research, testing, etc.), someone has to pay that cost back. The rest of the countries in the world have mandated that it be US patients. It has nothing to do with our politicians, other than them not having the backbone to demand that if other country's want the drugs, they have to allow the drug company to set the price (that's not to say that politicians aren't in the drug company's pockets when it comes to protection from damages caused). Of course, once a patented drug is approved, anyone in the world can make it by reading the patent. It's a difficult issue, because even without the drug being detailed in a patent, there are plenty of devices that can be used to determine what the drug is made of. This is the reason that 90%+ of all drugs and medical devices invented since WWII were invented here; we're the only county that allows drug companies to make enough profit to recoup the development costs.
The beautiful sound of that Spitfire literally gives me goosebumps.
