    1. In 1981, my college sweetie and I traveled all the back roads of NH and Vt. photographing all the covered bridges we could find from a map we had. I recall some being really hidden and out of the way. Would love to know where those pics and the girl is now.

  2. That's a beautiful Autumn image of a very nice covered bridge. From age eleven until I left that area for university, we lived outside of town and about a half-mile from a fine old Howe Trust covered bridge in central Missouri. It fully burned on Memorial Day 1966. We all loved that bridge and if the full story of why or how it burned is even known; it's still a well-kept secret. A modern but "blah" steel & concrete bridge with wider lanes, open above, higher load capacity and higher speed was eventually built a bit further downstream to replace it and that section of road rerouted. You might see what I been thinking.
