  3. I have worked and lived in the rain. God made your nose to be a natural snorkel.
I wish it was raining here, now.

  4. If you are a pluviophile, move to Binghamton NY. When it isn't snowing (Oct to May) it's probably raining. The area is a natural weather pivot; watch the TV weather and you'll see nearly every storm take a corner right over them, and when that happens they dump more rain or snow.

    1. Nah. Portland OR or Seattle.

Of course, these clowns have a LOT of water on the brain. That would explain a lot of their behavior, too.

    3. Native webfoot here...

Honestly, ANYWHERE from about Wilsonville in the south to middling B.C. in the north, and from the coast to the Cascades is going to get similar amounts of annual rainfall.

There's a REASON I call it the 'wet-side' of the Cascades (instead of the weSt-side).

I also refer to the area as 'The Land of Beer and Coffee', since most of the time the weather is so miserable the only thing to do is hunker down and drink something.

    4. Fifth generation Oregonian here (yes, we have webbed toes). Portland doesn't get that much more rain than anywhere else, but it takes a good soaking shower and spreads it out over three weeks. It's the constant drizzle that drives people nuts.
And then there's the old saying: "Rain is the policeman's friend." Our current season of rioting, looting, and burning will be a lot more difficult in winter weather.

  5. I love rain. Now I haz a name.

"If this deserts all there'll ever be
Then tell me what becomes of me
    A fall of rain?
That must have been another of your dreams
A dream of mad man moon"
