Much of their music I consider to be country. In the late seventies and early eighties a lot of country stations down here would play "Tequila Sunrise", "Desperado", "Seven Bridges Road", etc. In my opinion the music of the Eagles was way more country than some of the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton (i.e. "Islands in the Stream", etc.) of that time. I stopped listening to modern country during that time because I felt country music had gone "disco". I like the Geezinlaw Brothers take on that sort of music. Check it out here.
