I Walked Part Of The East Coast Greenway Earlier.....

The East Coast Greenway is a developing trail system, spanning nearly 3,000 miles as it winds its way between Canada and Key West, linking all the major cities of the eastern seaboard. Over 25 percent of the route is already on safe, traffic-free paths.

Here is the old railroad bed I walked.............

  1. If you ever find yourself in the Raleigh, NC part of this path, let me know. I'll meet up with ya and buy you a beer.

    1. I see by the map the trail goes through Raleigh or near Raleigh. I spent 2 years in Chapel Hill and was wondering is the trail in your area safe?

I don't mean safe from getting hit by a car or even eaten by a bear, but is it safe from those local inhabitants who voted for Obama?

  2. There are still parts of the Naches Trail that you can walk. I would be tempted to get the dirt bike out... not that I have ever sneaked in to the Memoral Park Arboretum and done that...winders were awesome, no one was there, just a couple miles of 6ft wide manicured trails to go sliding though. Almost lost a buddy sneaking out on the railroad trestle ( bridge), he got 1/2 way and then this train came around the bend -- pretty exciting there for a few seconds.
