I just finished reading "The Peace War" one of my readers recommended it, I'm sorry I forget who.
It was a good read and I would recommend it if you haven't read it.
Another book that I have lined up is "Variant" that "Larry Correia" recommended.
and low and behold, I just found this one at Sam's Club this morning. I will start this one tonight.
Have you read Vinge's A Fire Upon the Deep? It's one of my all-time favorite hard science sci-fi novels.
ReplyDelete@ HH... not yet but I will get it :)
ReplyDeleteIf you have not read this one,
ReplyDeleteThe Probability Broach (1980) is an alternate history novel in which history has taken a different turn because a single word in the Declaration of Independence was changed. The United States has become replaced by a minarchist/libertarian society, the North American Confederacy, in this parallel universe, also known to science fiction fans as the Gallatin Universe because of the pivotal role of Albert Gallatin in the point of divergence. The antagonists of the series are styled Federalists, or sometimes "Hamiltonians", after the historical political party of George Washington and Alexander Hamilton.
Or it's sequel, you are missing a great read. That and the fact that the hero carries a S&W model 58 makes it a great book.
Thanks Tim
