Up at the top I added SCM music player to see how it will perform with the blog.
I haven't played with any of the settings or functions as of yet so this is just a test drive.
Any input will be appreciated.
Enjoy the day.
Update, I added a few more to the playlist which is accessed on the right hand of the music banner.
Also, it didn't autoplay for me, please let me know if it does. You can adjust the volume and pause and fast forward with the controls.
Nice, very restful, keep it on
ReplyDeletePlease, NO!!! I hate it when news videos, etc. automatically start playing when I open their Web page. Give us the option of playing music, or not, but please don't start it automatically.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Peter, did it start automatically? I just tested it and it doesn't for me.
DeleteI like the first selection.
ReplyDeleteI like the first selection.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Been working my way back into piano playing as I approach retirement and it really clears my head.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Irish, I think this is a good addition to your blog. The auto play didn't start, and fwiw, I agree with Peter, let people choose. Interestingly, when I clicked on the comments tab, the page didn't jump to the bottom like it used to, I had to scroll down to type this.
ReplyDeleteSame, Grog. I'm glad it doesn't start automagically, and the comments didn't jump to the bottom.
DeleteI also exited the comment (from another post) and the player kept right on truckin'
Thanks, Irish!
I must say Irish I don't like autoplay gadgets, and it takes up screen space below my tools bars. So far only the negative action from you since I started reading. Some people don't like listening to others music selection. I equate it with the idiots that turn up their car music real loud with a over amped systems and roll the windows down. If I wanted to listen to their music I would sit in their cars...
ReplyDeleteI like it, especially the fact that we can browse the site and the music pays uninterrupted. The player is unobtrusive and the music did not autoplay when I visited the site.
ReplyDeleteWill not play in IE or Chrome, but does in Firefox and Edge. Would FULLY concur with not having auto start.
ReplyDeleteOkay, once I played "The Vigil", at the end of it the background music to (what ever game that is) kept playing in the background. Had to pause it. This is probably correct behavior.
ReplyDeleteExited Firefox, went back in to this site, player did NOT start up automagically, which IMHO is a good thing!
Just for giggles, went in to Mickysquish Edge, same behavior. After "The Vigil" the "Skyrim Ambience" loaded and played. Exiting Edge and going back in, same behavior. Called up the "Celtic" in the playlist and that worked well also.
Looking good!
May all your feedback be positive, Irish me boy...
Like others - no auto play, but once I told it to start - it continued playing without interruption even when changing 'pages'.
ReplyDeletePlease don't start it automatically. I generally never return to autostart sites. YUK
ReplyDeleteIt has made your blog pretty much unusable on my ancient phone browser. Can't expand the text properly, can't click on links in the blogroll.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying The Vigil right now (how would I download that, or otherwise get a copy?). Agree that autoplay would suck, but it didn't happen for me (Brave browser), so no complaints on that score.
ReplyDeleteHere is where I got the song for the playlist. I heard it first on Pandora.
