National Special Security Event "designated" by the Secretary of Homeland Security?
I am not going to point fingers, make jokes about sloped roofs, offer up conspiracy theories, etc. However, I do not believe this bunch (DHS) has the authority to be naming, declaring, or designating anything just like any other .gov agencies, departments, etc. does not have that authority for a myriad of reasons. Besides the fact that the DHS/Secret Service does not have such special dispensation, this just flat out smells of something rotten and in light of what happened four years ago and how the current administration lied and grossly manipulated events leading up to, during and after January 6th at the capitol. Not to mention the hyper-inflated propagandized events/imprisonment of patriots in a 'La concentration camp/solitary confinement that followed. I am not prophesizing or making a predictions but I am attempting to point out a similar event that occurred in Germany in 1933 and warn against a potential "overreach" during another false flag event. After much political strife with one side demonizing the other to the point of the NAZIS framing up the commies. Hitler used this premise to alarm the German people that the communists were to the point of threatening and plotting against the government. Next, the Reichstag burns, German authorities round up the suspected Dutch communist thought responsible, President Paul Hindenburg issues the Reichstag Fire Decree, Hitler takes office after being "duly" elected a few weeks later, and under this "fire decree" , suspends certain rights, his administration (the national socialists), begin the roundup of political opposition. I am not a 'doomsdayer" or naysayer, but does this sound familiar? Take notes and prepare accordingly. There more than likely will be an exam.

WASHINGTON – The 2025 Counting and Certification of Electoral Votes in Washington, DC on Jan. 6, 2025, has been designated a National Special Security Event by the Secretary of Homeland Security.
This marks the first time a National Special Security Event designation has been granted for a Certification of Electoral Votes and follows a request made by the DC Mayor to designate this event a National Special Security Event. Various reports including from the House Select January 6 Committee and the Government Accountability Office also called for the DHS Secretary to consider a National Special Security Event designation for future Certification of Electoral Votes.
“National Special Security Events are events of the highest national significance,” said Eric Ranaghan, the Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Secret Service’s Dignitary Protective Division. “The U.S. Secret Service, in collaboration with our federal, state, and local partners are committed to developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated security plan to ensure the safety and security of this event and its participants.”
The formal planning process is underway with the formation of an Executive Steering Committee. The Executive Steering Committee is made up of senior representatives from federal, state and local law enforcement and public safety partners and will begin convening in the coming weeks.
In addition to the 2025 Counting and Certification of Electoral Votes on Jan. 6, the 2025 Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 20 was previously designated a National Special Security Event and planning has been ongoing for several months.
This designation allows for significant resources from the federal government, as well as from state and local partners, to be utilized in a comprehensive security plan. When an event is designated a National Special Security Event, the U.S. Secret Service assumes its mandated role as the lead agency for the design and implementation of the operational security plan.

Hayes is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and violation of a constitutional right causing injury, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said. Ryan said the veteran had full legal possession of the gun, according to Boston 25 News. The veteran’s fellow protesters say they were not aware he had a gun, but believe he was acting in self defense.

Opening Day
I got invited to a Dove hunt this past Saturday in a neighboring county. Legal hunting hours were noon till dusk. There were nine of us and we killed 176 birds. It was the best shooting dove hunt I have been on in a while. There was a lull from about 1-3. Then, the birds began to fly. Temps were in the 70-80s and the wind was about 15 mph so, the doves were very challenging. I had plenty of 20ga. high-brass empties and a bruised shoulder as a testament. There was plenty of food too. Seeing the old '57 Chevrolet " true barn find" was a bonus. My host was gifted that car as is, but now running, by an elderly neighbor he had taken care of for years just before the fellow passed. Jeffery in Alabama
